Inspiration:

This butterfly is dedicated to 19-year-old Matt Bazoian, who died after an accident in June 2010. His love of nature nurtured under starry skies on the shores of Lake Michigan, his poetic and adventurous spirit, and his deep connections to family and friends, are celebrated within the butterfly's landscape. The butterfly rejoices, too, in his family's generous decision to donate his organs after his death to recipients, who are dancing in his memory all across the country.
