The “Eyes” Have It

Patricia was a 19 year visual arts teacher in the University City School District. She delighted in sharing her passion for art with her students. Patricia led her class to exhibit their work at the St. Louis Artist Guild, St. Louis Art Museum, and at Fontbonne University.

Inspiration:

The inspiration for my butterfly, “The Eyes Have It,” came from the number one lesson taught by my father while I was growing up: Look into someone’s eyes as you are speaking to them. I shared this valuable lesson with my children and students.

It was interesting watching the butterfly come to life. The experience made me look into my own eyes.
